Icona Pop (vs Madonna)
"Nights Like Bonita"

Icona Pop posted this six months ago, but it’s so been waiting for summer. Good original; terrific remix.

"Default" (Tom Furse remix)
Django Django

I fell in love with 2009’s "Storm" and what do I see on The Oxonian (!) but a review of the UK quartet’s first full length album. Not on the iTunes, but (cringe) on Amazon along with—for free—this remix which is definitely going on my next running mix.

And, via Boing Boing, the original, free for a week.

Kathleen Edwards and John Doe
"Golden State" (Live at WFUV)

Such adoration in their harmonizing:

you are the pain in my neck
you are the lump in my throat.

Perfect. (Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines’ rendition is great, too).

"Tonight" is the first track from Saint Etienne’s forthcoming album. Download this track for free at (limited time only)

This brightens up a dark, rainy Friday…

(Live @ Allsång på Skansen)

Wow this live version (with members of Robyn’s backing band?) of the track Maura posted earlier.

“Gammal Sång” has been one of my favorites since Mondo Salvo #2.
